Powerplant Technologies Inc. is a mechanical contractor and fabricator serving the combustion industry.  Our main emphasis is in the repair, erection and installation of field erected boilers and their related auxiliary equipment.  Specific areas in which we perform work and supply materials or fabrication are as follows:

•   Structural steel erection of buildings and various steel support structures.

•   Rigging and millwrighting of all types of machinery for manufacturing processes (fans, turbines, pumps,  mills, etc.)

•   Installations and modifications of piping systems involving mediums of air, gas, oils, steam, and  water.

•   Installations and repairs of refractory settings of boilers and related combustion equipment.

•   Insulation of breechings, ductwork, piping systems, and related equipment.

•   Sandblasting, acid etching, abrasive, epoxy and industrial coatings of all types of surfaces and structures.

•   Welding performed in accordance with A.S.M.E. Boiler and Vessel Code.

•   Nondestructive testing “UT”, “MT”, “PT”, “VT” by qualified technicians.

•   Preheat, stress relieving, PWHT.

•   Steel plate fabrication of breechings, ductwork, stacks, tanks, and items manufactured from steel plate.

•   Retubing of boilers, heat exchangers, after coolers, and condensers.

•   Installation and complete refurbishment of all types of stokers and fuel feed systems.

•   Installation, maintenance, fabrication, and refurbishment of all types of conveying systems (fuel handling, pneumatic, drag chain, belt, flight, screw, bucket     elevators, end mast, skip hoists, winders, etc.).

•   Boiler erection and installation (firetube and waterwall).

•   Erection, installation, and maintenance of pollution control equipment (baghouses, precipitators, dust collectors, wet and dry flue gas scrubbers, etc.).

•   Complete combustion system installations (fuel handling through stack erection).

•   Life extension studies conducted (boilers/plant equipment).

•   Safety engineering services including instruction and training, site surveys, monitoring and sampling and safety program development.

The above scopes are fields of work in which we perform on a regular basis, but not areas which we are limited to.  However, please be assured that we thoroughly evaluate all projects as to whether the scope of work lies within our abilities and past experiences.  We will not jeopardize our personal commitment to high standards of craftsmanship and quality by undertaking projects beyond our capabilities.  It is our most firm belief that this sincere commitment to this obligation enables us to provide our customers a most economical, efficient and professional installation.
